We are looking for a Senior Accountant – Cross Border Tax to join our team —a role where your expertise will drive meaningful outcomes and your ambition will help shape what comes next. Your role:Â
- Prepare and review (where applicable) Cross Border individual and corporate tax returnsÂ
- Verify tax assessmentsÂ
- Perform technical research and documenting tax plan recommendationsÂ
- Correspond with clients, other advisors and tax authoritiesÂ
- Coordinate and manage client accountsÂ
- Assist managers and partners with tax initiatives, including but not limited to developing and implementing tax planning strategies for clientsÂ
- Understand, analyze and research tax queries for clients, Partners, Senior Managers, and ManagersÂ
- Collaborate with and support team members in providing exceptional client serviceÂ
- Provide leadership and direction to junior team members to ensure completion of filings by designated deadlines; andÂ
- Other duties as assignedÂ
What you bring to the table:Â
- CPA, CA or working towards a CPA designation; completion of UFE/CFEÂ
- Minimum of two years relevant work experienceÂ
- Experience working in a public practice Accounting Firm is an assetÂ
- Superior people and client service skillsÂ
- Good written and verbal communicationÂ
- Strong attention to detailÂ
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skillsÂ
- Adept organizational and time management skills, including the ability to meet deadlinesÂ
