Your role:

  • Assemble financial documents, reports, and correspondence in line with firm quality standards
  • Prepare personal tax returns, T4s and T5s
  • Provide bookkeeping support to our clients including posting, HST and payroll
  • Develop client communications in relation to tax season and other informative topics throughout the year
  • Print, process, and electronically file financial statements, tax returns and other documents delivered to clients
  • Coordinating timely delivery of client work and maintaining client database as required
  • Track deadlines, monitor progress, and help meet deliverable timelines
  • Maintain and update the client database and documentation
  • Respond professionally to client and staff inquiries by phone, email, or in person
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance efficiencies, adopt best practices, and leverage new technologies

What you bring to the table:

  • Proven administrative or office assistant experience, ideally in a professional services environment
  • Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or business, or equivalent work experience
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Exceptional planning, prioritization, and time management abilities
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced team setting
  • Attention to detail with strong proofreading and formatting skills
  • Analytical and reasoning skills to identify and resolve issues efficiently
  • Experience working in the following programs is considered an asset: ShareFile, Quickbooks, TaxPrep, Caseware/Caseview

Job type: 

Permanent, full-time

Your schedule: 

Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm. Office is closed on Fridays during the summer

Salary range: 47,000 – 53,000
