Your role
- Lead and oversee assurance and accounting engagements, including planning, risk assessment, execution, and completion, ensuring files are delivered efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with professional standards.
- Act as a primary point of contact for clients, building trusted relationships and providing timely, value-added insights.
- Review financial statements, working papers, and tax filings prepared by team members, ensuring technical accuracy and quality.
- Coach, mentor, and support the development of staff and senior accountants through guidance, review, and collaboration.
- Manage engagement workflow, timelines, and resources to ensure smooth and sustainable delivery.
- Apply sound professional judgment in addressing technical matters, engagement issues, and client discussions.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to enhancements in tools, templates, and methodologies.
- Support firm initiatives, knowledge sharing, and business development activities in a manner aligned with interest and experience.
- Model firm values and contribute positively to team culture, collaboration, and accountability.
What you bring to the table
- CPA designation in good standing, with 3-5+ years of progressive experience in public accounting.
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards, assurance methodologies and/or income tax rules and regulations.
- Proven ability to lead engagements, including planning, execution, workflow management, and high-quality file review.
- Experience mentoring and coaching team members, supporting their development, and reviewing work with a focus on quality and learning.
- Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines, prioritize tasks, and oversee multiple engagements simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a client-focused approach.
- Strong proficiency with CaseWare, TaxPrep, and related assurance and tax platforms, or the ability to quickly adapt to new systems.
- Bilingualism in French/English is considered an asset.

Salary range: $75,000-$125,000 per annum.
