Cobourg, ON – Baker Tilly is pleased to announce a strategic partnership between Loadstar Trailers Inc. (Loadstar) and Hoffmann Family of Companies (HF Companies). Baker Tilly served as the exclusive financial advisor to Loadstar and its shareholders.
Joe Hopper founded Loadstar in 1993, originally under the name Peterborough Equipment Trailers Inc. Under his leadership and management team, Loadstar has grown into one of the largest manufacturers of heavy-duty trailers in Ontario. Today, operating from a modern facility in Cobourg, ON, Loadstar is recognized for its commitment to quality products and exceptional customer service.
A multi-vertical family-owned company consisting of over 100 national brands, HF Companies employs 17,000 global employees with businesses located in 30 countries and 250 locations around the world. Loadstar joins HF Companies’ fast-growing manufacturing vertical, which includes respected trailer brands such as Doonan Specialized Trailer, Texas Bragg and Bragg Trailers. The partnership includes Loadstar’s 20,000-square-foot manufacturing facility, with plans for future expansion to support growing demand across North America.
