Sudbury, ON – Collins Barrow SNT LLP’s longtime managing partner, Richard Schaak, has announced he will begin to transition out of his role, passing the firm’s reins onto seasoned partner Dan Longlade.
“Richard leaves behind a legacy of forward-thinking leadership, having played a substantial role in CB SNT’s rapid growth and professional development,” said Doug Kroetsch, chair, Collins Barrow National. “On behalf of the entire Collins Barrow network, I’d like to extend my sincerest gratitude to Richard for his years of valuable service, dedication and inspiring leadership.”
Since becoming a partner in 1992 (and taking on the role of managing partner in 2003), Richard’s accomplishments have been extensive. He has contributed to the development of the region’s largest tax practice, the launch of the transaction services practice providing financial due diligence and buy- and sell-side support for clients, as well as the launch of CB SNT’s advisory services department.
“Over the span of my career, the evolution I’ve witnessed of CB SNT and the network at-large has been remarkable – from the growth in services and value we’ve been able to offer, to the talented people I’ve had the pleasure to work with,” said Richard. “Being part of this momentum has been incredibly rewarding, and I have every confidence that Dan is the right leader to continue driving this energy forward.”
Proudly accepting this new challenge, Dan brings his expertise in audit, accounting and entrepreneurial services to the helm, having been a Collins Barrow partner since 1994.
CB SNT’s executive team will also include Robert Blais, Todd Zanatta and Mark Weiman, with Richard continuing to serve in an ex-officio capacity.
