Baker Tilly HKC has offices in Hearst, Kapuskasing and Cochrane, Ontario and is currently looking for an experienced, motivated and client-driven individual to join our growing team as Co-op, Assurance and Accounting.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
The candidate will learn to prepare files, including financial statements and tax returns and will develop technical skills in areas such as compilations, reviews, audits, bookkeeping and tax. Our firm offers an outstanding environment to continue developing your career by providing challenging and rewarding opportunities, while working in a collaborative and supportive environment.
A successful candidate will have:
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (Accounting major) and working towards the prerequisites for admission into the Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) Professional Education Program (PEP)
- Self-motivation and a strong work ethic with an ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Sound judgment regarding confidential and sensitive matters\Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong computer literacy and experience or exposure to accounting and tax software would be valuable
