Our Windsor office is seeking a hands-on Divisional Controller to own day-to-day accounting operations in a multi-entity environment. This role is accountable for execution, accuracy, and discipline across the close cycle—ensuring first run financial statements are complete, reliable, and variance reviewed prior to senior review.

Your role:
Accounting & Close Ownership
Own the full monthend close process across multiple legal entities
Deliver accurate, reviewready internal financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow)
Ensure journal entries, accruals, prepaids, and reconciliations are complete and technically sound
Maintain balance sheet integrity with documented, timely reconciliations
Financial Reporting & Variance Review
Prepare internal management reporting packages
Perform variance analysis versus budget and prior periods
Identify unusual items, trends, and control issues before escalation
Provide clear explanations and supporting detail for results
Process Discipline & Internal Controls
Ensure accounting processes are followed consistently and on schedule
Maintain and enhance documented accounting policies and procedures
Identify breakdowns, inefficiencies, or risks and implement practical improvements
Ensure appropriate accounting treatment across a group structure
Payroll & Operational Finance
Oversee payroll processing, ROEs, and yearend filings (T4s) in coordination with HR
Ensure payroll, benefits, and related liabilities are accurately recorded
Systems & Reporting
Leverage accounting systems and reporting tools to improve accuracy and efficiency
Ensure data integrity between subledgers, payroll, and the general ledger
Power BI dashboard development and financial visualization experience is a strong asset
What you bring to the table:
University degree in Accounting or Business
CPA designation required
7+ years of progressive accounting experience with fullcycle close responsibility
Demonstrated experience in multientity / group accounting environments
Strong technical accounting foundation with a practical execution mindset
Advanced Excel skills and strong financial data management capability
Experience building or maintaining Power BI dashboards for management reporting is an asset
Experience leading or managing an internal finance or accounting team, including setting expectations, reviewing work quality, and ensuring deadlines and standards are met
High attention to detail, ownership mentality, and ability to enforce deadlines and standards independently
