We are currently seeking an experienced, motivated and client-driven individual to join our growing CFO team as an Accounting Data Advisor (CPA Student Core Common Pathway), to assist us in providing service excellence, ensuring all aspects of our clients’ needs are met and exceeded.  A role where your expertise will drive meaningful outcomes and your ambition will help shape what comes next. Your primary responsibilities will include:

As an articling student, you will join the CFO team, this is a CPA Student Core Common Pathway, and you will participate in all aspects of CFO client service. At Baker Tilly you will have the opportunity to: 

  • Assist in preparing client accounting records, financial statements, corporate and personal income tax returns

  • Draft and review financial statements

  • Prepare T4s, T5s, GST and other compliance returns

  • Prepare journal entries, individual and corporate tax returns

  • Conduct research on professional and technical matters

What you bring to the table:

The successful candidate will have:

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with commitment to client service and teamwork

  • Strong desire and dedication to work, learn, and thrive in a fast-paced, innovative, and dynamic environment

  • Completed a business degree and be entering the CPA designation program

  • Excellent communication and analytical skills

  • Proficiency with technology including MS Word and Excel
