Baker Tilly WM held its 2nd consecutive A Day of Giving event in December 2018, a firm-wide initiative that saw over 100 of our staff from Vancouver and Toronto volunteering at various charitable organizations within our respective communities.
From serving meals to those in need at the Belkin House and First United Church, to toy distribution/sorting for kids and families at the Christmas Bureau and Salvation Army, to preparing backpacks filled with essential items for homeless youths at Directions, and so on, our staff were there to lend a helping hand to these worthy organizations: Directions Youth Services, Dress for Success, First United Church, Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau, Quest Food Exchange and the Salvation Army.
The organizations were very appreciative of the contribution and efforts of the Baker Tilly WM volunteers. Likewise, staff at Baker Tilly WM found the experience very rewarding and a great team building experience.
Baker Tilly WM is committed to developing a strong internal culture of philanthropy and in addition to A Day of Giving, the firm’s internal Community Services Group organizes various team volunteering activities and fundraisers throughout the year.
