The partners of Collins Barrow are pleased to announce that Pelly Heighton has been named National Director of Events and Administration.
In addition to directing all the firm’s national conferences and training programs, Pelly is responsible for arranging nationwide purchasing contracts and providing enhanced collaboration tools to further strengthen knowledge sharing among specialty groups, committees and member firms across the Collins Barrow network.
A graduate of the University of Ottawa with an honours BComm in management information systems, Pelly worked as a project and technology manager in the high-tech sector for 12 years before founding a full-service event-planning firm in 2003 dedicated to producing events for corporate, association and government clients. For the past nine years Collins Barrow National has been an important client of hers.
“This is a newly created position for the network,” notes Collins Barrow National Chair Doug Kroetsch, “so we’re extremely pleased to have attracted an individual as accomplished and experienced in events and operations management as Pelly to spearhead two areas of such vital importance and ensure administrative excellence in client service.”
