Due to continued growth, we have an opportunity for a talented, motivated individual focused on customer service to join our team.  This is an excellent position for individuals interested in developing their accounting and tax skills.  This position allows for exposure to a diverse client base that spans across many different industries. There may be the opportunity to work minimal hours during the summer months if desired. You will have the opportunity to work closely with partners, managers and other staff and join an organization that values work/life balance and puts an emphasis on developing our people.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing corporate client financial statements (compilations) and tax returns.
  • Bookkeeping from client supplied records.
  • Preparing payroll and related filings.
  • Preparing GST/QST and HST returns.
  • Preparation of personal income tax returns.

A successful candidate will have:

  • Graduate of a College or University accounting or bookkeeping program.
  • Bilingual is a requirement.
  • Accounting experience with a small to mid-size business or professional firm would be an asset.
  • Computer skills including Excel, Simply Accounting and Quickbooks.  Experience with Caseware and Corporate Taxprep, would be an asset.
  • Sound judgment regarding confidential and sensitive matters.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong understanding of a client-focused environment including related deadlines and the ability to work to meet those deadlines.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
