Baker Tilly RSG LLP is currently looking for an experienced, self-motivated, tech-savvy and eager-to-contribute individual to join our growing team as a Senior Cloud Bookkeeper in our Edmonton, Bonnyville or Cold Lake office with a hybrid schedule for a full-time permanent position.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Financial record-keeping in a cloud-based ecosystem for various clients including processing of payables, receivables and payroll and recording of general journal entries as required
• Preparation of GST and other tax returns as required
• Completion of bank and other account reconciliations
• Preparation and generation of periodic client reporting packages
• Provision of bookkeeping and software support services to clients
• Development of documentation of bookkeeping workflows
• Mentoring Junior Cloud Bookkeepers and training our clients on Cloud accounting software and apps
• Completion of other accounting related duties as required

A successful candidate will have:

• Minimum of 2 years full cycle public accounting experience in a cloud ecosystem is required
• Post-secondary diploma or certificate in bookkeeping or accounting is required
• Experience mentoring junior bookkeepers and training clients is considered a strong asset
• Excellent working knowledge of cloud accounting software including QuickBooks Online, Xero and various related apps, as well as an interest in being willing to learn new technology and innovation
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
• Strong organizational and planning skills, with adaptability to changing priorities
• Strong interpersonal skills, professional manner and ability to work independently and in a team environment
