Dare to grow: Now, for tomorrow

Our well‑established network – the largest association of chartered professional accounting firms in Canada – has been highly focused on expansion, due to our fiercely entrepreneurial spirit and bold ambition to grow our exclusive group of independent firms.

In 2019, we rebranded from Collins Barrow to Baker Tilly Canada, embracing a shared identity with fellow Baker Tilly International member firms in more than 148 territories worldwide, while retaining our autonomy.

And today, we are more determined than ever to find innovative, growth‑oriented firms ready to take their business to the next level, enhance their capabilities and create new, added value for clients.

A look back

Founded over a century ago, our network launched an important growth initiative in 2012 that saw expansion into Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and British Columbia take place, over the course of the next few years.

In 2018, the three‑way merger of Collins Barrow Vancouver, Wolrige Mahon and CW Group, formed a single, powerhouse audit, tax and specialty services firm, Baker Tilly WM LLP, with offices situated in Vancouver and Toronto.

Then Baker Tilly Canada Corporate Finance joined the network in 2021, expanding our impressive repertoire of specialty services. As did Baker Tilly Catalyst LLP and Baker Tilly WCR LLP (with offices in Calgary, Nanton, Sundre and Rocky Mountain House), re‑establishing our strong presence in Alberta.

Most recently, in 2022, we were proud to welcome our first‑ever New Brunswick firm, Baker Tilly GMA LLP, as well as Baker Tilly RSG LLP in Edmonton, Alberta – further illustrating our network’s commitment to growth in both primary and secondary markets.
