Baker Tilly REO partner Kathy Byvelds to retire in 2024

Winchester, ON – Baker Tilly REO extends its gratitude to valued partner Kathy Byvelds, who will retire from her position effective Jan. 1, 2024.

Renowned for her extensive knowledge in tax and estate planning, particularly in the agriculture and owner‑managed business sectors, Byvelds will continue to remain an integral part of the tax team, supporting clients and colleagues alike. Her transition will involve a seamless continuation of the high standard of service clients have come to expect from her and the firm.

Byvelds began her journey with Baker Tilly REO in 1995 as a staff accountant and contributed greatly to establishing the firm as a top choice for the agriculture industry in Eastern Ontario. She made partner in 2004, spent four years as managing partner from 2014 to 2018 and has remained a key member of the leadership team ever since.

“Kathy’s impact on our firm has been immeasurable,” explains Benjamin Mann, Baker Tilly REO managing partner. “As a tax practice leader and mentor, her expertise in agriculture is unparalleled and has been a cornerstone of her highly productive career. She leaves behind a legacy of exceptional knowledge and dedication to the ongoing success of our firm and clients.”
