Biography

Drawing on more than 24 years of experience in the services industry ⁠–⁠ including more than two decades in professional services ⁠–⁠ Ben became Baker Tilly Canada’s first Chief Executive Officer in 2023. In this position, he prioritizes growth and network alignment, championing an action‑oriented approach and working closely with the board of directors to drive forward key initiatives. His leadership and experience supports BT Canada in advancing its goals and reach nationally, while also deepening the commitment to build great relationships within the international Baker Tilly network.

Ben’s involvement with the Baker Tilly network began in 2009, and he took over as the Chief Operating Officer for Baker Tilly International in 2016. In his role as COO, Ben worked closely with the CEO in the development and implementation of the Baker Tilly International strategy and operational well‑being. He was also responsible for Baker Tilly International's functional areas of finances, services and industries, business development, marketing/communications, learning and development, legal and company secretarial affairs.

Before assuming this role, Ben was the regional director for Asia Pacific, where he was responsible for the development and execution of Baker Tilly International’s regional strategic plan and initiatives driving sustainable growth in the Asia‑Pacific region.

During this time, Ben also chaired the network’s China strategy group (2012 ⁠–⁠ 2016), co‑chaired the global resources group (2011 ⁠–⁠ 2016), served as a member of the network’s Global Centre of Excellence task force in India and steered the sub‑regional collaboration group in South Asia.
