John Redding retires from Baker Tilly GMA after 25 years of dedicated service

Moncton, N.B. – Having built a distinguished career dedicated to clients and colleagues alike, John Redding has retired from Baker Tilly GMA. True to his nature, Redding has chosen to temporarily stay with the firm as an associate to help his clients transition to their new advisors.

Originally from Saint John, New Brunswick, Redding joined Baker Tilly GMA’s predecessor firm in 1997. He specialized in Canadian corporate, personal and trust taxation compliance, primarily serving owner‑managed private companies, as well as non-profit organizations.

“John was always a great team player, eager to help everyone from junior staff to partners,” explains Baker Tilly GMA partner Jordan Dugas. “Over the years, he has maintained excellent relationships with his clients on account of his flexibility and openness to new ideas. John also has a reputation for taking his time to understand his clients’ individual needs. Combined with his expertise, this enabled him to successfully address any issues that would arise. As he transitions into this next chapter, his clients will miss him almost as much as we will.”

“His valued counsel and tax expertise will be missed – along with the millions of yellow Post‑it notes on his files! We will remember him fondly and wish him all the best in this next chapter – and sincerely hope he gets a few more ski days in this winter.”
