In the Spotlight with Gurpreet Sandhu
Tell us about yourself.
I am a Partner in the Vancouver office and lead our Entertainment & Media practice. I grew up in Quesnel, B.C. and later moved to the Lower Mainland to attend Simon Fraser University. After spending time at a National Firm, I joined Baker Tilly WM (formerly Wolrige Mahon) in 2007 and I have enjoyed being a trusted advisor to my diverse client base.
Has there been anything positive you have witnessed/seen from the recent crisis?
Working from home due to the pandemic has allowed me to spend a lot more time with my family. In the summer, I would play basketball at lunch with my son.
Outside of work, what keeps you busy?
I have two teenage kids which keeps me busy with all their activities. This year, the activities have decreased, allowing me to golf more than ever before.
What are your plans for the future?
At the firm, I plan to continue to work hard growing the Entertainment practice across the country.
What does "Now, for tomorrow" mean to you?
