Our team is looking for a Senior Director/Managing Director to play a key role on our growing national Transaction Advisory and M&A team. As part of this role, the new Director will lead professional mergers & acquisition services to our clients and work along with the senior leadership team to set and implement strategic goals for BTCC.
The role includes identifying revenue-generating opportunities, managing key client relationships, implementing brand strategy, assisting in development and implementation of sales process, and acting as client lead on marketing, sales strategy, client engagements in line with Baker Tilly's overarching mission and vision.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Identify and research market opportunities, lead generation, and proposal preparation.
- Actively manage key relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Lead sell-side engagements providing overall project management of new and existing client projects.
- Participate in the planning and development of long-term strategic planning goals and business development in line with the M&A strategic context.
- Identify new merger and acquisition opportunities and partnerships that fit with the Baker Tilly vision and mission.
- Build community awareness of Baker Tilly's brand, service offering, and value-added skills within the Toronto and wider Ontario business community. Assist in identification and implementation of brand development initiatives.
- Build marketing processes within the organization in line with organizational goals.
- Lead and execute promotional opportunities and events.
- Other duties as assigned.
A successful candidate will have:
- 5+ years of full time experience in corporate finance with a proven history of successfully closing deals.
- Holder of a finance or accounting qualification (such as CPA, MBA, CBV, or CFA).
- Outstanding skills in communication, presentation, and writing.
- Demonstrated leadership in driving business growth and achieving targets.
- Proven track record of taking initiative.
- Experience in transaction management and execution.
- Capable of leading projects from your first day.
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance.
- Proficient in financial modeling and valuation.
