Accounting Technician/Bookkeeper

Your primary responsibilities will include:
As an Accounting Technician/Bookkeeper, you will play a vital role in our team by:
- Providing bookkeeping support to our clients and internal professionals.
- Handling various accounting service assignments, including general ledger postings, account reconciliations, and report generation from accounting systems.
- Efficiently managing compilation engagements, including direct client interaction for queries, requirements identification, and issue resolution.
- Preparing corporate and personal tax returns.
- Fulfilling other responsibilities as assigned.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Must possess critical thinking skills.
A successful candidate will have:
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or business, or equivalent work experience.
- Knowledge of Canadian bookkeeping and accounting practices.
- Proficiency with accounting software such as QBO, Sage 50, QuickBooks desktop, and Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with bookkeeping applications like Dext or Caseware is a strong asset.
- Strong computer skills and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software.
- Effective time management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
- Flexibility to meet the unique needs of our clients, including occasional travel to client locations.
- A team-oriented mindset.

Location:
This position is based in-person at our St. George St. Dresden, Ontario in Chatham-Kent, ON. Hybrid or remote work options are not available.
