Students at Baker Tilly Ottawa/Gatineau

At Baker Tilly, we care about your long‑term development, so we have created a comprehensive process for building true accountants from the ground up. We feel that this approach differentiates us from other firms. Students at Baker Tilly are exposed to a wide variety of work, due to the diversity and size of our client base and the breadth of our services. Our students learn to prepare an entire file, including financial statements and related tax returns, under the guidance of a manager, which makes the work more interesting and more relevant to developing your overall technical knowledge and skills.

We proudly support our students in their educational pursuits by paying for:

  • Course exam fees and exam writing day for students in the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP)
  • Common Final Examination (CFE) fees
  • Three CFE exam writing days
  • Two weeks of CFE study leave
  • An allowance to attend convocation ceremonies
  • The cost of framing your certificate for designations
  • Equivalent course fees if you choose to pursue a Master’s degree in lieu of the CPA PEP program
  • Annual CPA student fees
  • CPA Initiation fees and subsequent annual fees

We understand that not all students take the same path to their CPA designation, and our firm will help and support you in making the choice that works best for you.
