Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely with partners or other senior staff to develop and implement accounting and tax strategies for clients
  • Preparing detailed reviews of compilation, review and audit engagements to ensure compliance with professional and firm standards
  • Identifying and resolving accounting, audit and tax issues
  • Providing management and leadership to team members on assurance and non-assurance engagements
  • Mentoring, training and developing junior staff
  • Managing engagement financials including budgets, WIP, variances, billing and collection
  • Leading practice and professional development initiatives
  • Identifying and cultivating new sales and/or service opportunities

A successful candidate will have:

  • CPA designation
  • Experience working in public practice accounting
  • Strong technical knowledge in accounting, assurance and tax
  • Thorough knowledge and application of relevant professional standards, regulations and corporate governance requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain trusted advisor relationships with clients
  • Excellent interpersonal relations with the ability to lead, mentor and develop others to build high performing teams
  • Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple engagements with competing timelines
  • Commercial awareness with an understanding of good business practices to create economic value for the firm
  • Business development skills are an asset
