Baker Tilly Ottawa welcomes its first COO Iman Faris

Ottawa, ON – Having proudly grown into one of the region’s top local Chartered Professional Accounting practices, Baker Tilly Ottawa is pleased to announce its first‑ever COO, Iman Faris. An experienced operational and financial leader, Faris will help expand and implement the firm’s evolving vision for the future, supporting the firm in an administrative capacity to deliver heightened value for clients.

With more than two decades of professional experience, Faris has held responsibility for all the key functions involved in his new role, exceling in both large and smaller business environments. With a broad range of experience – including time in HR and technology consulting services environments – he is well positioned to support the firm with its continued growth as a varied and versatile COO. In the early stages of his role, Faris will focus on financial matters, while also introducing a number of talent‑related initiatives.

“Iman is a charismatic, energetic and positive professional with many years of experience in increasingly senior finance and administrative positions,” explains managing partner Mike Hayward. “Our goal is to empower him with responsibility for the key administrative aspects of the firm, giving our partners more time to work with our team and clients to deliver high quality service.

“Bringing aboard our first‑ever COO represents a key opportunity for the growth of our firm. As we continue to grow, we are excited to see how Iman makes our team stronger, while overseeing our day‑to‑day activity and efficiency.”
