Biography

Shelley oversees the firm’s US, cross-border and international tax department. She advises Canadian companies setting up businesses in the United States and offshore, in addition to providing planning and compliance guidance to US citizens in Canada and Canadians investing in US real estate or leaving Canada to live abroad. She holds both Canadian and US accounting designations, CA, CPA (IL, USA), and earned her BComm from the University of Calgary. She has also completed the Canadian In-depth Tax Program.

Shelley started her career at a big 4 firm in Calgary before moving to Red Deer in 1989 where she ran her own pracice for several years. She joined Collins Barrow in Red Deer in 1999 and joined the Baker Tilly Rockies LLP (formerly Collins Barrow Bow Valley LLP) team in December 2018. She will continue to provide U.S./International tax services in the Central Alberta area.
